Mis à jour : 9 août 2020

Protein is an essential part of all living organisms and species, especially as structural components of body tissues such as muscle, hair, collagen, etc. and as enzymes and antibodies (help to remove antigen and virus or etc.). Protein is a macronutrient which helps in building muscle mass. Our body requires macronutrients to sustain life. Other macronutrients are fats and carbohydrates. When protein is broken down in the body, it helps to fuel the muscle mass, which helps in metabolism, Protein also supports the immune system to stay strong.

Protein is the body's building block. All of our organ including the skin, muscles, hair, and nails are built from protein. Many hormones are proteins, and the immune system, the digestive system, and blood rely on protein to work correctly. Protein is, therefore, an essential part of our diet, vital to the development and correct functioning of the body. Protein is particularly important for children and adolescent - as they grow and develop into adults protein are used to produce tissue

Protein is also important to use by the body for building, repairing and maintaining tissues.

Proteins are part of every cell, tissue, and organ in our bodies. Proteins are made up of amino acids, which are the building blocks of protein. There are 20 different amino acids needed by the body. These amino acids join together to make all different types of protein. Eight amino acids are considered essential amino acids since they not made by the body and therefore must be obtained from food. The other 12 amino acids are made by the body and are considered nonessential amino acids.

Protein is vital as it is the only to carrying nitrogen that is the reason excess protein diet or intake can lead for several body problems especially with kidneys.

Most important point. Human body entirely made up by protein and all body organs are made up by protein and water and fat. Protein is the main component of muscles, bones, organs, skin, and nails.
